I hope the industry will explore and measure performance of nTLD’s beyond numbers and really start drilling into usage (or not). If they (these nTLD Registries) truly wish to impact the Internet in a positive way supporting the creation of new identities for Online businesses, individuals etc – then they need to do more than just create numbers (eg. explore alternative channels beyond the domain name registrar channel is one way – too much reliance on the registrar to drive growth is not optimal).

How many of these names will actually stick around? That will be an important number to examine.
